Calling downtown Asheville home, Spiritex is passionate about keeping alive the economic and cultural vibrancy downtown has to offer. As a testament of support for sustaining such a vital future, ten percent of the dresses shown below will be donated to The Asheville Downtown Association.
The Asheville Downtown Association is a non-profit organization committed to the preservation and improvement of the central business district.Through programs and annual objectives, theassociation works to make downtown the center of commerce, culture, government and leisure.
During a recent meeting at the Asheville Downtown Association, clothing designer and artist Marylou Marsh was inspired by a paintingcreated by local artist Adam Strange. His work depicts an aerial view of downtown in vivid color and mosaic shapes – which adapted seamlessly to the Empire A-line dress and Dolman Sleeve Tunic shown below.
The Rococo Dress and its form-fitted sheath with square neck and bishop sleeves takes its Rococo Revival architectural detailing from the Public Service building located on Wall Street. The building’s prominent cornice and window section is printed using digital dye sublimation on recycled poly.
